The Shanghai Sharks have themselves a new guard in the form of 6ft 4inch Tsung Hsien Chang AKA Jet Chang, who signed terms with the team in the last forty-eight hours. The twenty-three year old Taiwanese will not count as an overseas player under CBA rules and will probably be used as a scoring presence off the bench.
Tsung, who played college hoops at BYU- Hawai’i, saw time with the Minosota Timberwolves summer league squad during the summer and has experience playing for his country at international level along with team-mate Tseng Wen-ting since 2009.
In his four years at BYU_Hawai’i, ‘Jet’ put up some strong performances, mostly notably a 43 point game that led his team to the Div II college finals in 2011. He went undrafted in the 2012 NBA draft but was invited to try outs by several teams including Boston, the LA Lakers, Golden State, Dallas and the Clippers.
