Its been a VERY long off-season in Shanghai since game five of the CBA playoffs against Shanxi but that obviously doesn’t mean that the Sharks’ former overseas players are sitting around twiddling their thumbs. Indeed, former Sharks forward, Mike Harris, has just finished his stint with Puerto Rican outfit Athletico San German and will now be leaving the island with some decent numbers on his CV.
Harris, despite arriving a few games into the Baloncesto Superior Nacional season, still leaves Puerto Rico as the league’s fourth best scorer (19.1ppg) and second best rebounder (10.1 rpg) as San German made it all the way to the postseason semi-finals before being eliminated in five games by Capitanes de Arecibo.
Moreover, Harris wasn’t the only former CBA player out on the island- also present and correct in the BSN were Shavlik Randolph (formerly of Dongguan Leopards), Ike Diogu (Xinjiang Tigers), PJ Ramos (Guangsha Lions) and Herve Lamizana (Tianjin Lions). Diogu, who is playing for Arecibo, will now wait for the winner of the other semi-final tie between Indios Mayague and Vaqueros Bayamon.
